Chapter 8 / It’s Terrifying When a Normally Quiet Child Gets Angry 4[]
Summary[]
Zagan is shocked and flustered by Nephys ask but it turns out she asked out of concern because he only ever sleeps on his throne and she wants him to do so in a bed. Upon him stating that he needs to remain close to the throne for emergencies, she offers him a lap pillow instead.
They have a talk and Zagan wants to teach her proper sorcery to which she agrees in order to become more useful to him and then comforts and hugs him about his own weaknesses.
Barbatos randomly TPs in for a second time and discusses the attack by the church with him, remarkably out of concern for him. He is impressed by the defeat of Chastille as she holds one of the sacred swords. Barbatos is then shocked about everything to do with Nephy and proceeds to ask about Zagan aiming for the opened up arch-demon seat. Zagan mentally reveals he’s aiming for a key for Nephy's collar which the position would make easier to obtain.
Barbatos leaves and Nephy makes Zagan aware that the two are actually friends but he’s more of a tsundere again. They enter a two week long training montage where Nephy has been studying both Sorcery and Mysticism—with little progress in the latter. And it ends off with Zagan receiving a summons by Birb.
